In 1996, UPM was the first in Russia who developed and began to use a system for tracking the sources of Russian timber. It is used for quality control of all batches of wood raw materials arriving at Chudovo factory.
Environmental protection in accordance with ISO standards 14001 and Russian legislation is an important part of the factory’s activities.
The enterprise operates on the basis of a closed water use cycle.
